How it is handled
The new inbox is only half the job.
Before moving anything, existing mailboxes, data volumes and provider access are assessed. Microsoft 365 is prepared separately so the destination is ready before mail delivery changes.
DNS and mail flow are then cut over in a controlled sequence. Staff can start using the new accounts while historic messages continue transferring behind the scenes where the migration method allows.
